Hey folks! I get to start swimming on my lunch break again on Monday after a month off. So excited! So my meal plan has shifted back to late lunches to be eaten at my desk after I get back from the pool. This means breakfast has to fuel me all the way to 2pm, so I've got some snacks and things planned as well. Breakfast salads and overnight oats can both be thrown together the night before, which I love. And I'm clearing some last bits of lentil loaf out of the freezer to make room for new freezer meals. What's your lunch game looking like for next week?
1. Do gut bacteria rule our minds? Woah.
2. Coke and Pepsi concede that maybe soda is bad for you.
3. New research shows that eating 5 portions of fruit and veg a day is good for your brain and helps prevent depression.
4. According to these scientists, drinking wine is better for you than going to the gym. Well then TGIF! But really, take this one with a grain of salt, people.
5. Last but not least, healthy diet and lifestyle choices may actually reprogram your brain.

I love a good lunch workout. I need to start planning ahead better. I always meal prep but it's often make s ton of veggies and protein and throw together. Which means my food normally had the same spice all week. Planning ahead may help me figure out what I want to out together and how to season better. Thanks for sharing! Ps lentil loaf = love

Lunch workouts are my favourite! I'm not good at getting up and working out before work, and that's precious me-time to work on other things (like this blog!). After work I'm too dang tired, and we go to bed quite early so an after work workout doesn't really fit into my lifestyle. Lunch is perfect though, and I'm lucky there's a swimming pool just a 10 minute walk from my office. When I get back to my desk after a swim I think better, feel fresher, and my day is practically done!
Hey, sometimes I eat the same thing all week, or for several days in a row. Even if I plan it out for alternating days, some things don't last as well as other so I end up shuffling the meal plan around. But I find the act of planning really helps me. And yeah, lentil loaf is awesome!
