HOW TO COOK BLACK-EYED PEAS

INGREDIENTS:

Place your dried black eyed peas into a mesh strainer and rinse well. Check for any stones or broken beans, and discard those.

In a large pot, combine dried beans, water, and salt. Bring to a boil, and then reduce the heat to medium-low, and simmer with the lid off until the beans are tender.

STOVETOP:

Add dried black-eyed peas, water, and salt to your Instant Pot. Set to High Pressure for 12 minutes, then allow the pressure to release naturally for 10 minutes.

INSTANT POT:

Combine dried pinto beans, water, and salt in your slow cooker. Slow cook the beans for 4 - 6 hours.
