snack attack! ants on a log

snack attack! ants on a log //

Ants on a log – not just for kids! This ticks all of the snacking boxes. It’s a great combination of protein and produce, and combines a good amount of crunch from the celery, a touch of saltiness from the peanut butter, and just a little sweetness from the raisins. What’s not to love? Best of all, it’s easily portion controlled. Just one stalk of celery, a couple of tablespoons of peanut butter, and a small handful of raisins. Horray for healthy, easy, delicious snacks!

Ah, memories. This used to be one of my favourite snacks, Katie. I have all of the above: my 4 pm snack sorted. Thanks for the reminder 🙂 PS I always like celery for its intrinsically salty flavour. When I crave salt I try and reach for celery instead of something a bit less good for me …

I agree – and I often suggest crunchy, salty celery to my clients who are fond of reaching for salty snacks like chips or crackers instead. Addp peanut butter and raisins to the mix? Perfect!
